SMS Terms

These terms describe the Linksman SMS program operated by Linksman LLC, owned and operated by Nolan Britt. Linksman sends two message types to golf course staff and owners who create an account and verify their phone number at app.linksmansoftware.com:

Messages you'll receive

  • One-time passcodes for phone verification.
  • Replies to staff-initiated questions about their own course’s operations data.

How you opt in

Texts are only sent to golf course staff and owners with a Linksman account; there is no public sign-up. To opt in, a user signs in at app.linksmansoftware.com, opens Account, enters their mobile number, and must tick an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox that reads:

“I agree to receive text messages from Linksman: one-time verification codes and replies to questions I text to Carl. Fewer than 10 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.” with links to SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.

The number cannot be saved unless the box is checked; the Save button stays disabled until it is. The user then confirms the number with a one-time code we text them. Changing to a new number requires ticking the box again. Because the form is behind a login, the opt-in screen is shown here:

Linksman never texts golfers or the public, never sends marketing, and never shares mobile numbers or opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies by use. You can expect fewer than 10 messages per month per user.

Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out

Text STOP to cancel at any time. You can also remove your phone number in your account settings.
